And then you are lucky that you only miss 1 GB. In our last z9
configuration HSA occupied 1.8GB.

Miklos,

That "missing" 1GiB is occupied by the HSA.  Since the z10 and later
machines were announced, each machine has 16GiB dedicated to HSA that
cannot be used for LPAR storage.  The z9 storage requirements for HSA
were considerably larger than prior generations, which has caused some
consternation in shops that installed a
z9 or z9BC system.
