Hi
Thank you, nothing left just remember for this"missing" 1 Gbyte .

Miklos,
That "missing" 1GiB is occupied by the HSA. Since the z10 and later
machines were announced, each machine has 16GiB dedicated to HSA that
cannot be used for LPAR storage. The z9 storage requirements for HSA
were considerably larger than prior generations, which has caused some
consternation in shops that installed a z9 or z9BC system.

Hi
We are working via Web interface of the HMC, and more as 1 Gbyte was
missing
It is a z9 machine with 16 Gbyte
I thought :
CF 2 Gbyte
1Lpar 8
2Lpar 4
3Lpar 2
But for the last Lpar more as 1 Gbyte was missing .

Hi
Changed the LPAR real storage configuration, and got LPAR activation
errors, as the assigned real storage was greater as the available.
Any method or option to check this, before this activation errors ?
Excel spreasheet?
IMHO it's quite easy on current machines - there is no "hidden" HSA
part in memory visible to te customer.
Hint: There is an icon Storage Information - available from Support
Element (not from HMC).
