Nothing beats an Excel spreadsheet for keeping track what you have defined and what's available. However, at any point in time, you can check the actual used and unused storage via Single Object Operations to the SE of the CEC you're interested in. The Storage icon will tell you the total amount of user storage installed, the amount currently allocated to each *active* LPAR, and the amount of currently unused storage available to the next LPAR--or available for enlarging existing LPARs. As previously noted, this display cannot take into account defined but currently inactive LPARs.
I highly recommend checking this display periodically. Several months after our last upgrade, I discovered 16 GB (!) of unused storage that I had overlooked. Several hungry LPARs got an early Thanksgiving feast. ;-) . .
