Very curious. JVMDUMP032I is documented here: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/javasdk/v5r0/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.java.doc.diagnostics.50%2Fdiag%2Fappendixes%2Fmessages50%2Fmessage_jvmdump032.html
But this relates to a JVM (Java Virtual Machine). The name FTPD9 is of the form FTPDn where n is in [1..9] and usually means that this is a FTP session (a remote computer connecting to the z/OS FTP server). Of course, this is just "normal usage" and not some sort of requirement. Have you looked into the files? You can easily do this using ISPF option 1 and putting that entire name in the "other" field. The "pfa" in "/SYSTEM/var/pfa/Snap.<rest>" indicates, to me, that this may be part of the PFA software (Predictive Failure Analysis). -- John McKown Systems Engineer IV IT Administrative Services Group HealthMarkets® 9151 Boulevard 26 • N.
