Skip, To answer your question about a Global zone display choking, the answer is "no". I have done just what the original poster asked about, moved all the remaining PTFs from SMPPTS1,2 back to SMPPTS, removed the DDDEFs etc, and deleted the SMPPTSx datasets. SMP/E will happily find the PTFs in their new location.
