OK, getting serious. I've been in this business for four decades. Performing essentially the same kinds of tasks for various employers at various levels of seniority. I have always represented myself as a 'Systems Programmer'.
I'm currently in a 'discussion' with a manager type who wants to hire a 'Systems Engineer'. I have not been able to discern the difference. What can a Systems Engineer do that a Systems Programmer cannot?
