You don't have much choice for zCX. It's Docker in the host environment and then whatever you choose for the guest. I heard a rumor that Kubernetes may be coming in future. In that case you won't need to worry about docker, package managers etc. You will just install an entire stack at the versions you require. Updates are managed and if they fail to install will be rolled back with no loss of service.
