In Afrikaans, we don't use much 'double negatives' like you use in English.

The Chinese proverb said in negative way: "Do not do things on others you don't 
want it to be done on yourself" (more or less AFAIK)

while the Good Lord said: "Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, 
you shall also do to them"

You get the idea which one is 'better' ;-D
