Do a search for VM PROGRAMMABLE OPERATOR and you will find information about setting it up. You may not even need PROP but it will tell you how to get messages from a VM guest and sending commands to it. I think one of your problems is that 3270 console mode should be 3215. You want messages instead of full screen.
