An unsupported tool using a point-in-time offset into a non-interface,
non-public control block that fails years later due to architectural changes is
neither poor programming by ISPF development or some nefarious scheme to break
existing code.

It is just the unfortunate (and inevitable) consequence of using unsupported
interfaces.

Didn't they make corresponding changes in the macros mapping
those data areas? Did they hard-code those offsets?
