Never mind GNU; resolve the EBCDIC-Unicode issue in Perl and Provide a
current Perl, Python and Ruby.
If they do port the GNU utilities, add the functionality of the
current IBM utilities and contribute the code to the FSF. Yes, I know
that may require some political scutwork.
