I haven’t actually seen anyone mention its actual existence but the 
long-displacement S-con is SY.

And I use it extensively for the exact use case mentioned below: the target 
routine using them to calculate the address of parameters, in my case, 
substitution values to plug into messages..

And SY’s are needed because frequently those values require the range of a long 
displacement.
