answering Radoslaw's question. He wants to know how to install an old product correctly.
Does he specify BINDER CALL or does he install each PTF separately. This difference tells
us there is a packaging problem. I suspect CALL is the correct answer "for this
situation" but that's purely a guess that can only be verified by IBM.
Actually the most important for me is to *understand* the issue.
This is really weird and it breaks SMP/E logic.
I guess the proper form of load modules it the one which comes of two
separate steps: first step is apply the fmid, the second one is apply
the PTFs.
I checked the lmods by comparing with old, long time ago installed ones
residing in a library in some downlevel z/OS image.
