Idz is an IBM tool.

ISPF does write info into the directory entries of PDF and PDSEs.

However what the op is concerned about is CC 73-80 of source records, which is (can be) used for sequence numbers and change level numbers (being the last 2 or 3 columns?).

Steve Thompson

Is there a way to configure IDz to treat columns 73-80 as ISPF sequence and
change level?

Is Dz an editor? Cite? Google finds me mostly "Dayz".

Does ISPF depend om user information in the directory?
Might this be reflected in extended attributes?
If I delete every line with the most recent change level,
does ISPF remember and increment the change level?
If a programmer modifies some but not all related
members do they get the same change level?
Does FTP, TRANSMIT, or IND$FILE preserve the
change level?
Does ISPF manage change level for UNIX files?
