Yes, some shops use AI on mainframe.
One of solutions is fraud detection in real time, that means during card
payment authorisation.
There are some know to public implementations, like Rabobank.
Note: there are also non-IBM players developing solutions based on Telum
processor.
Besides there are many "AI" add-ons to IBM products like Omegamon, Db2
tools, etc.
Note: AI is *NOT* just a conversation with some ChatGPT or other.
