An example would be 2013-09-14T11:46:13:05:00 in which '-', 'T', and ':' are prescribed. My earlier post omitted these details in the interests of brevity. Googling "ISO 8601" will yield more of them and the full text of both the standard and some draft extensions and modifications that are under current discussion.
