You might be bypassing security or other job/user relationships.

It also could bypass any change control process you might have in your shop.

A contractor should do what is normal in the shop.  A contractor should not
tell a shop what to do.  Suggestions could be made, but in the end, it is
your shop and you should have the contractor work within your requirements.
