Specifying GLOBALTCPIPDATA will use a single common TCPDATA. I'm not familiar with it's use so I can't say whether it comes from TCPIP or from RESOLVER.
As for all other cases, the standard search order is used which does not mention SYSTCPD in TCPIP proc. Everyone I know (before implementing GLOBALTCPIPDATA) has either used TCPIP.TCPIP.DATA and far less frequently SYS1.TCPPARMS. Has anyone tried renaming both of these to see if it uses TCPIP SYSTCPD?
