You can (in theory -- I have) create a dataset:
A.B.C...
Which would limit you to 22 levels.
The level is not the limit: it's the combination of node length (8 bytes) and 
DSN length (44) that determines 'levels'.

There is no "limitation ... of ... 5 levels"  Hasn't been for a long time;
perhaps never was.
