Are they not BDAM? I think that's how they showed up in our SMF-based
reporting, but it's been a long time since I saw any.

Subject: Restoration of IAM datasets
Sent by: IBM Mainframe Discussion List <IBM-MAIN@listserv.ua.edu>

Dear Mates,

I'm facing an issue in restoring IAM datasets, it is a multivolume dataset
and we are taking logical backups.

In Dataset Report the datasets are shown as PS file, but when i tried to
restore the file using normal logical restoration, i am unable to open the
file. It shows I/O error.

Mates,
Please help me to know that is there any procedure to restore IAM file?
Whether we need to restore it as VSAM restoration or any special procedure
is applicable.

Kindly do the needful for the same.

Thanks in advance,
Rajesh
