I tend to jump in when the OP says "the manual says &foo and I don't
understand" or "the manual say &bar, which does not seem to apply."
But if his time is too valuable to waste reading the manual, then my
time[1] is too valuable to waste trying to help him. That especially
true when others have already told him, to no effect, to RTFM.
[1] And your time as well, but that's for you to decide.
