The biggest problem with multiple CSIs--I don't think you need any other--is the difficulty of managing and synchronizing interdependencies. You would have to install every PTF for the product FMID(s) in both CSIs, or cherry pick just the ones that you're sure relate only to one product or the other. You would get caught up in PTF chains that you'd have to untangle yourself. Eventually you would hit a problem caused by missing PTF (overlooked cherry). I passed this by our CDC guy, who also shudders at the idea of multiple CSIs.
