Hi
I might be wrong but the idle-time limit (Job Wait Time(JWT)) is surely a
system wide limit set within SMFPRMnn and as such applies to both Batch and
STCs, hence many installations code TIME=1440 on the EXEC within the STC
procedure.

Some people have coded IEFUTL exits that exempt STCs from the timeout.
They know who they are, and would take that into account, I'm sure. But
this seemed worth mentioning in case someone unfamiliar with local exits
were to be thinking about this (not necessarily the OP).
(We used to have such an exit when I worked as a system programmer.
After a number of tests failed, among them the test for an STC, the
return code would be set to zero so the system would cancel the A/S.
The comment on the line of code setting R15 to zero read, "Flush the
infidel from the system!" I always found that amusing, but perhaps I'm
easily amused.)
