This is fun. I'm not sure modern machines are both microcoded AND millicoded-I 
thought millicode was just another form of microcode. Am I wrong?

To make it more exciting, how about this perversion (I'm removing microcode 
just in case):
millicode==>PR/SM==>z/VM==>Linux==>Bochs==>Windows

That's one more than your layering (whether microcode still exists or not)! 
Now, will it be speedy? I think not...
