Talked to a guy that has done several of these conversions in years past. This is what he said:

The DC to the hammers comes from the controller, not the 1403. So, not an issue.

The only motor in the 1403 ran a hydraulic pump. Should be able to just replace the motor with a current off-the-shelf motor as speed is not critical.

Some units had a very small transformer for a few circuits. If so, you should be able to just use a current off-the-shelf transformer.

I wonder if anyone knows what has to change to move a 1403
from 50Hz to 60Hz?

If they use synchronous motors, then some belts or gears
would be different.

For transformers, you need more iron in the core for 50Hz,
so 50Hz transformers should be fine at 60Hz, but not always
the other way around. That might also be true for motors,
but synchronous motors will run faster.
