Subject: Re: IDCAMS DELETE MASK and Recalls

Is the DELETE being done under IDCAMS or TSO.

That is

PGM=IDCAMS

PGM=IKJEFT01

Is the DELETE command including under IDCAMS NVSAM?
DELETE dsn NVSAM

IDCAMS, according to the manual, will not recall
If you delete a migrated data set without specifying the entry type,
DFSMShsm will delete the data set without recalling it.
DELETE dsn
But probably will recall if you use
DELETE dsn NVSAM        or
DELETE dsn CLUSTER
