The initial IPL trucks along until it the console switches modes. Then

Thoughts?
Thinking about such things is more productive with stand-alone dump
at which to gaze.
There was APAR OW56730 (PTF UA01439 for OS/390 2.10), which may be
of interest if it is not already installed.
