As far as I know, the DATACLAS does not point to volumes. Just number of volumes can be placed in the Dataclas.
A storage group could be set in the ACS code based on the Dataclas, maybe. But the environment might just be using the data class to set attributes of the file, and the use NON SMS volumes - i.e not using SMS POOLS.
