Hmmm - unless you happen to have a critical error in the source. Replicating that quietly everywhere can leave you with non-IPLable systems *everywhere*. Which you may not find out about until you try an IPL. And yes, it has happened - LE bug that broke MCAT access for example; ran fine till IPL.
