Just checked:
Mark Zelden's IPLINFO (thank you Mark!) shows correct memory amount with
no negative effects..
Obviously Support Element shows memory allocation with no effects as well.
TASID - I have version 5.19 installed, which shows some false value: 73
741 824KB (real value is 1 073 741 824KB) - it seems leading digits are
lost. TASID work with no negative effects.
More about the nature of the problem: the system completely hangs for
~30s. My TSO session is lost, I cannot reconnect for that time. Nobody
can connect. During the period HMC monitor shows CPU utilization 100%.
After that everything go back normal. Everything is working OK. System
log is very concise:

Final notes:
I can live without D M=STOR command, I hope I can protect it using
OPERCMDS profile (with proper granularity), I have several
non-disruptive ways to know the amount of memory.
My main concern is the same function can be internally issued by some
"system" software, like RMF, OMEGAMON, whatever. In other words I'm
afraid when the disruption could occur with no direct human invocation.
System with such defect is simply unreliable.
