EOS does not mean it doesn't still work and can create code that can still execute on a modern mainframe. (Of course the source must not contain anything that OS/VS COBOL doesn't support!) Not sure if it's still shipping as part of z/OS or if it was just left around on the OP's system. We still have OS/VS COBOL programs that are running on VM/CMS, (none on z/OS). -- Dale R.
