Have not tried the option. We are always told to call IBMSERV. I'd rather use
the online interface. Next time we'll try it.

I've never reported a real h/w problem via SR, but when I open one, I can
select s/w or h/w as problem type. I bounced thru a few screens for a mythical
DS8800. It prompted for geographic location, machine type, serial no. etc.

Do you not see this option, or does the process fail for you?

Subject: IBMSERV website

Hello, all usually we open PBM's and Service requests online using SR or
IBMLINK, however sometime we have to call IBMSERV because we hac as DS8800 or
TS7700 issue. It sure is a lot easier using the online. Is there by chance a
website we can go to a an IBMSERV request?

Thanks in advance.
