I used to fly around the Caribbean back in the 70-80’s quite a bit.
It was not uncommon that they would weigh the passengers (as well as the
luggage) before take off.
Its been a while but one stop was at a airport that was a top of a mountain
(yes a real mountain) Both take off and landing was an experience I will never
try again.
Just can’t remember the island St Nevis??? all I know is that the wouldn’t
allow us to get out and stretch our legs as we would have to go through
customs/immigration then.

In the late 80’s I was flying into one island and taking a air taxi to another.
It was most memorable as the pilot let me fly the plane while we were over
ocean. It was both exciting and scary.
