Ken, FlashCopy consistency group "should" give you the same P-i-T as Synch and Asynch Remote Copy. Sounds like you should report a problem.
Attended a few DR rehearsals where JEs2 has warm started without a hitch. Have you tried ShadowImage At-Time split (if you have HDS)?
