It would be a boon if TRANSMIT/RECEIVE and/or AMATERSE were embedded in FTP. Hmmm... Layers, layers. FTP iattaches TRANSMIT which attaches IEBCOPY which uses Program Management services ... CBTtape.org uses a uniform format for (almost) everything: zipped TRANSMITted files. Perhaps not so good for UNIX files. Otherwise it can all be extracted on z/OS nowadays. No need for a desktop waystation. -- gil >-- >Edward E Jaffe >Phoenix Software International, Inc >831 Parkview Drive North >El Segundo, CA 90245 >http://www.phoenixsoftware.com/ > >---------------------------------------------------------------------- >For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, >send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
