The explanation for ADR497E says to look at IDC3009I. Return code 246 says an
internal error occurred and you should contact IBM support. HA-004 is
obviously an internal code for IBM.
Since this is a daily job that is suddenly failing, something changed between
the last successful run and the first failure.
Has maintenance been released? Have new exits been installed? Has
access to the catalogs been changed in your security product?
Have you run DIAGNOSE against all the catalogs and VVDSs to insure one
has not been corrupted?
When it ran successfully, how many datasets were selected? Can ISPF
3.4 find all of them using the same filters? Has the number of selected
datasets increased dramatically?
You could execute the job in NORUN mode specifying only one filter at a time to
try to determine which search has the problem.
