Oh.  That COMPRESS.

Not harmful except for being wasteful.  That may be a reason that
SMP/E recommends allocating SMPPTS as PDSE.

COMPRESS could have worked a lot better if OS/360 recorded gas in PDS
directories.  Irrelevant for PDSE.
