By the strange logic of sales it might be cheaper or the same cost to buy a
new 8884 box, which would include maintenance. I've seen this happen here
with our 3 year old 8870 and now we have an 8884, bigger, faster, with
maint.  Same deal with a z10 to z13s processor upgrade.
I suggest contacting Mainline and/or Sirius to ask for a informal proposal
on an upgrade.  They know how to work the system.  Then issue a RFP or
whatever you call it based on their proposal.  Magic to me but it works.
