Scott,

I do not know what part you play in your products life cycle. Let us say you 
want to have your program do something unusual like say make a call to vendor B 
to get results. Now all of a sudden you have to ship Vendor B’s product with 
yours. I will guarantee they will not give it to you for free. Now your product 
ships with Vendor’s B product. Your cost *HAVE* to go up, so how do you handle 
it, add 2.00 to the monthly fee? I don’t think so, there are things like 
contract and that means getting lawyers involved etc etc.. Now not only do you 
have two worry about fixes to your product you have to figure out how to 
include fixes from Vendor B as well. 

It gets a lot more complicated as you add on other vendors and pretty soon you 
will be twisted up in release issues and it will drive your company to 
bankruptsy.
