For Y2K preparation I remember installing a COBOL source scanning
program for the application folks. I thought it was interesting for a
couple of reasons:
1) It was licensed by the number of source code lines you ran through
it, and would just stop until you bought more "lines".
2) After reading through the licensing doc, I got the impression the
vendor spent at least as much time designing and coding their protection
method as they did on the Y2K scanning portion.
