Dana,

Below is what PRT7 looks like after I start it.

           $Dprt7
           $HASP603 PRT7
      UNIT=,STATUS=INACTIVE,BURST=NO,CKPTLINE=0,
      CKPTMODE=PAGE,CKPTPAGE=100,CKPTSEC=0,CREATOR=,
      DEVFCB=,DEVFLASH=****,FCB=8X8,FORMS=(WL1,,,,,,
      ,),FSS=FSS1,HONORTRC=YES,JOBNAME=,LASTFORM=
      WL1,LIMIT=(0,*),COPYMARK=DATASET,MARK=YES,
      MODE=FSS,NEWPAGE=DEFAULT,NPRO=0,PAUSE=NO,
      PLIM=(0,*),PRESELCT=YES,PRMODE=(LINE,PAGE),
      QUEUE=R,RANGE=(J1,999999),ROUTECDE=(LOCAL),
      SEP=YES,SEPCHARS=DEFAULT,SEPDS=NO,
      SETUP=NOHALT,SPACE=,TRACE=NO,TRANS=DEFAULT,
      TRKCELL=YES,UCS=0,UCSVERFY=NO,VOLUME=(,,,),
      WRITER=,WS=(Q,R/),FSAROLTR=YES

Maybe you have a 'better way' to use NPF. Could you give me an example of what you are doing?

I installed NPF and had it working for my testing. That was about 4

Tony, you and I may be some of the very few members of this list that are
actually running NPF...

What does the printer definition look like when you display it? $D PRT7.
Specifically the ROUTECDE parameter.

I'm guessing that printer isn't selecting work since you have WS=(Q,R/). Mine
is set to ROUTECDE=(*PRT) to select all routes that end in the characters PRT.
