An even earlier reference - July 1981: http://books.google.com/books?id=hoy5IQyLFvsC&pg=PA46&dq=Xpediter
I am now almost certain that Xpediter was a product Compuware did *not* develop but rather *acquired*, some time around 1986 (the last Computerworld reference) or after. These articles: http://encyclopedia.com/economics/encyclopedias-almanacs-transcripts-and-maps/compuware-corp http://fundinguniverse.com/company-histories/compuware-corporation-history ... state that Compuware introduced a product called "MBX Xpediter/TSO" in 1979 and it won an ICP "Million Dollar Award" ($1M in sales) in 1983. But this is *false*. It was actually Application Development Systems, Inc who won that 1983 ICP "Million Dollar Award", not Compuware. See page 66, here: https://books.google.com/books?id=idEXAQAAMAAJ&focus=searchwithinvolume&q=%22Application%20Development%20Systems%22 It's barely legible in Google Books, but it's there. ADS' original ownership is further evinced by the "ADS*" load module names Bob Lester pointed out. Apparently, when Compuware acquired Xpediter they also acquired the bragging rights from ADS! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
