Seriously, consider replacing NAMESRV entirely using a VM-based Linux guest. Tell the VM stack to use the Linux guest, and you get all sorts of goodness -- DDNS, DNSSEC, ability to take DHCP-originated updates from clients; all that good stuff comes directly to the VM stack w/o having to do lots of magic. You get all the good features of NAMESRV plus all the modern goodies.
