When the guest loops I would recommend at least a VSE standalone dump be taken and then analyzed... Since you are under VM you should be able to display the regs and PSW a number of times to check where the loop is occurring When the guest loops is the console still able to respond to commands RC, STATUS , SIR, PRTY?
