I cannot say if it is advisable to do this for a PRODUCTION system, but f
or
my second-level maintenance system and my one-pack recovery system, I hav
e
PAGE, SPOOL and TDISK defined on my sysres volume. My maintenance system
does not usually have tape drives (even VTS drives) attached. I use DCSSB
KUP
and DCSSRSAV to backup and restore DCSSes. The NSS like CMS and GCS, I
transfer and recover using the iplable versions, 190 for CMS, card deck f
or GCS.
