I am stumped. I have loaded the 530RES volume and trying to IPL.
My virtual machine is defined as 64M, class BG, Machine XA. I did the terminal commode 3270. I did the system reset. I did the IPL 1002 CLEAR LOADPARM 00C3. I did not receive the SAL screen. It jumped past it and is now asking for input. The messge "H HCPSED6013A A CP read is pending." Is on the screen. The state is "RUNNING". I type COLD DRAIN NOAUTOLOG and press the Enter key. Its been a couple of hours with no movement. I've done this a few times with identical results. Two times my emulator session was connected via the OSA TN3270 service. Then I logged in using the ZVM 5.2 TN3270 service and the results are identical. What am I doing wrong? I am no getting the SAL screen. And it acts as if my response to COLD DRAIN NOAUTOLOG is not going anywhere. EXPLORE/VM is showing no dasd activity for any of my ZVM53 volumes.
