Well, at least it does not say, "Contact Your VM System Programmer!"
DTCFTC0392E File transfer aborted. Input string is too long Severity: Error. Explanation: The data transfer associated with a GET command has been aborted because the input buffer is too large. System Action: If the command exit option is in use, command execution stops; otherwise command execution continues. User or Operator Response: Contact your IBM Support Center for assistance. -----Original Message----- From: The IBM z/VM Operating System [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Alan Altmark Sent: Thursday, August 16, 2007 5:08 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: DTCFTC0392E File transfer aborted. The Msgs & Codes book says to call the Support Center for assistance. :-) The error (a) has nothing to do with the syntax of the GET command, and (b) is misleading. "Input string" is the data coming from the server. I agree with Mr. Hughes' suggestion that you could be trying to download a file in ascii (text) mode where the lines exceed ~64K in length.
