VCTCs have lower overhead, but are limited to a single system. If you ever anticipate moving any of the VSEs to another physical box, then you'll have to rework the setup at that point. The VSWITCH setup also frees you from the necessity of remembering to COUPLE the CTCs if you log off a guest or otherwise disturb the CTC environment; the IP transport will re-establish the connection w/o having to worry about any of that. The VSWITCH also allows you to have non-IBM systems in the NJE mix, eg Linux, Solaris, Windows, etc.

I was just wondering what others think is the best way to do this. Virtual CTC's or TCP/IP using a VSWITCH. Any opinions? Would my TCP/IP PNETTING ever hit a 'real' wire?
