Wasn't Walt Hutchens with the VM Systems Group, author of some really cool tools like VFORCE (a replacement for the CP FORCE command that could be used on hung users, basically stripping the VMBLOK of everything except for any device that might be causing the hung condition)?
VMSG had some great stuff, I wonder what happened to Walt too (nice guy!). -Mike -----Original Message----- From: The IBM z/VM Operating System [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Schuh, Richard Sent: Monday, June 23, 2008 12:07 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: PARTY Re: VMNFS opportunity (I think) I am sorry to say that I also worked for a non-participating company. They preferred Guide to both SHARE. The only reason I ever got was, "Those groups were just a bunch of Hippies." I do remember using the Mitre Scheduler from the Workshop tape back in VM/370 Release 2 days. I even contributed a fix for it. Does anybody know what has happened to Walt Hutchens?
