Hello Aria,

I have asked the same question.

Our IOCP for DS6800 with four 1 g ficon cards and two enclosures.
Each FICON card in the Z890 has two connections.

This way one card can fail and we still have access to all DASD.
Each dasd will have a preferred path too.

Like Mark, I too do not have the UNITADD on the IODEVICE lines. If I
recall correctly, you use this parameter to reassign the device number
to something else. In your case, having them all 00 should/would cause
a problem.

This makes me wonder about my IOCP. I am not using a real 2105 but an
emulated 2105 (EMC box). Your IOCP has 8 CNTLUNIT macros with the
768 devices spread across all of them. My IOCP has 3 CNTLUNIT macros
with the 768 devices on them (256 on each).

or other difference between having more or fewer control units defined?
